The Tudor Pelagos LHD is a very handsome dive/tool watch. Definitely rugged, but also stylish. A difficult task to achieve really. The LHD stands for "left hand drive" and the more observant will have noticed the crown is on the left hand side of the case. Whether you wear your watch on your right hand (and thus the crown is on the correct side for a change) or you wear it on your left (and it looks nicely different) there is no denying the beauty of this watch. It's the attention to detail on this watch that is striking - whether it's the raised edge of the dial, the red "Pelagos" text or that fact that the numerals on the date wheel alternate from black to red. Each Pelagos LHD is also individually numbered (engraved on the caseback). This likely indicates that there will be a limited run and at some point, Tudor will withdraw the model. This makes each individual piece feel more unique.
Geoff's comment: I do love a manufacturer who flips the case and puts the crown on the left. More should do it. Larger, more modern looking, and lighter than a Rolex Submariner, the Tudor Pelagos is less of a replacement for a Submariner and more of a credible alternative.
