Rolex first introduced the GMT-Master with the now world famous red and blue scale for the 24-hour display back in 1955 and it has grown to be a firm favourite amongst enthusiasts and admirers. The red and blue led to the "Pepsi" nickname of course, and there was also a red and black variant naturally called the "Coke". The two-tone bezel insert colours came about at the request of Pan American Airways (you are showing your age if you remember them) and was designed to distinguish between day and night times of the second time zone, as told by the wonderfully helpful GMT hand.
